About Berkshire Barns
Berkshire Barns, Inc. formed out a love for early timber framed structures. Barns represent our heritage and their roots can be traced back to the massive Tithe Barns and Crook Framed Isle Barns of Medieval England.
Early American Barns were built by European immigrants. Evidence of the builder’s nationality is proudly displayed in the style and workmanship of the barn. Those dusty old timbers can tell you a lot about the barn's past!
It is the warm feeling when we discover something personal about the builder of a hundred year old barn that fuels us to save such structures which are becoming a rare feature on the American landscape.
We are builders and engineers with a vested interest in early timber framed structures, most notably the endangered early American Barn. Our methods blend the old world art of timber framing with state of the art 3D CAD modeling technology to ensure accuracy and consistency in the reassembly of a frame. See an example of a typical Barn Blue Print which accompanies every frame.

If an old barn can be saved before it rots beyond repair, it can be given a new and long life with a new purpose while forever preserving the beautiful antique and rustic look that can only be found in old barn timbers.
